Severe bushfires are affecting several parts of the country and are expected to worsen. Wildlife needs urgent help. Not only do they need to be rescued from impacted areas, but they will require expert care for weeks, or even months, to come.
IFAW x UniSC koala detection dog Bear, who was instrumental in the search and rescue efforts during the Black Summer bushfires, has already been deployed to search for koalas in bushfire-affected areas. We need your support to ensure that Bear and his team can continue to search for and rescue impacted koalas.
By giving a gift today, animals caught in disaster zones have a greater chance of survival:
- A gift of $80 could supply lifesaving food for four koalas recovering from a bushfire.
- A gift of $100 could purchase veterinary supplies like burn cream, fluids, and supplements.
- A gift of $500 could contribute towards the cost of deploying Bear and his handler for a day’s search efforts.
How you can help: Please consider making an urgent gift to help animals in need.
