In the Kyiv region of Ukraine, Wild Animal Rescue a sanctuary for lions and tigers, is caught in a warzone.

Many of the big cats there are traumatized victims of wildlife crime—captured as cubs or bred in captivity with no space to move. They arrive at the center malnourished, stressed and some unable even to walk. This situation is only exacerbated in times of war, when these animals face the threat of explosions and armed conflict, and when their owners are forced to flee.

Right now, five lions and two tigers desperately need veterinary care, food and shelter to keep them safe until they can be evacuated out of Ukraine. Can you help them?

Your donation could provide:

  • Emergency veterinary care for injured animals.
  • Food to help them recover
  • Medication and necessary vaccinations to help stabilize the cats before evacuation
  • Support to our animal emergency rescue work worldwide.

Please give now to help give them the urgent care they need and help animals worldwide.

In the midst of the war in Ukraine, IFAW has so far supported the rescue and rehabilitation of 16 big cats with our partner Wild Animal Rescue. We are doing everything we can to ensure the safety of the remaining animals at the center and for animals all over the world that are needless victims of wildlife crime.
