African elephants are in trouble. Between poachers, climate change and habitat fragmentation, this gentle and intelligent species has died out in massive numbers. If nothing changes, Africa’s elephants could be gone within a generation.
A problem this big requires big, bold action: Room to Roam is IFAW’s ambitious new initiative that focuses on the spaces beyond and between formal protected areas like national parks. This means that as African elephants search for food and water, they will be safe from the dangers of poaching and human-wildlife conflict. It means that, together, we CAN save African elephants from extinction.
This initiative is both ambitious and urgent, and it’s not something we can do alone. To kickstart Room to Roam and help fund other vital work for vulnerable animals around the world, donate today >>
