Hurricane Ida made landfall in Port Fourchon, Louisiana on Sunday, August 29th, unleashing devastating high winds, life-threatening storm surges and massive flooding.

People and animals in Louisiana urgently need help. IFAW's disaster team mobilized within hours of the official request by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry and are on the ground conducting water rescues, animal search and rescue, and helping with emergency sheltering.

This lifesaving work is fueled by IFAW supporters like you. Please make a gift today to support these emergency efforts and protect animals in Louisiana and around the world:

  • $100 could help towards the cost of a day’s search and rescue efforts ensuring that no animal gets left behind
  • $50 could help treat an injured animal, saved from flood waters
  • $25 could help responders distribute food to animals and families sheltering in place

Thank you and please keep the people and animals of Louisiana in your thoughts.
