A devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the country of Haiti and the surrounding region on Saturday, 14 August 2021.
Disaster relief plans are in full swing in Haiti. IFAW local responders have accessed the hardest-hit areas impacted by the deadly earthquake and have completed their initial assessments of unmet animal needs, of which the most urgent are:
- emergency vet care, treatment or surgery
- temporary sheltering
- animal food and water
With your support, we can quickly provide relief to those that need it most.
While human relief agencies are helping people, IFAW helps animals and their families impacted by disasters worldwide.
