***10.12.20 Update***
- IFAW alongside our partner NVADG, have set up a second shelter for evacuated and rescued pets from the #NorthComplexFire .
- We are about to intake burned baby chicks and a baby duck at our shelter pulled from the fires by firefighters.
- Tiny kittens, rescued by California firefighters and brought to our team, were immediately taken to receive veterinary care.
- The first dogs rescued from the fire grounds have arrived, with more animals on the way. We will provide emergency sheltering and care until they can be reunited with their families.
- Responding to a call, we found a dog named Pippa who was separated from her family during the fire. Pippa and another dog were evacuated in good condition and will be reunited with their families.
